AI ANGEL

THE SECOND PLAY IN THE TRILOGY

In a near-future corporation ruled by AI, two best friends find themselves on opposite sides of a soul-stealing technology—one leading its launch, the other fighting to expose the truth.
AI ANGEL is a multi-reality, sci-fi theatre play following best friends Lily and Eve, who navigate the artificial office of Telis Corporation—a workplace dominated by oppressive technology and a disembodied, all-pervasive CEO known as BRAIN. Telis is preparing to launch MindMaster 6, software designed to “optimise” the human mind by erasing pain and reconfiguring humanity. Once inseparable, Lily and Eve are now divided: Eve, ambitious and aligned with BRAIN, leads the rollout, while Lily, volatile and questioning, uncovers the corporation’s darkest secret—Telis is stealing souls for profit.
Blending physical theatre, speculative fiction, multi-dimensional realities and myth, AI ANGEL explores female friendship, empowerment, and identity, while asking: what is the true cost of transhumanism, and how do we preserve humanity and connection in an age of control?

I adore how you keep everything held in the space of the Unknown. How you let us in just enough and then switch it up
Development Period

The idea for AI ANGEL was first conceived during lockdown in 2020 at Carters Myers Online Writing Group, alongside co-hosts Saffron Myers (Omnibus Theatre, Paines Plough, Hampstead Theatre) and Mike Carter (The Space, London Playwriting Lab, South London Writers' Group).

After many redrafts, challenges, and creative twists, the play - originally titled The Witch, the Bitch, the Whore Was Your Angel -reincarnated itself for its first sharing at the
V-DAY 2025 UNTOLD STORIES scratch night at Bread and Roses Theatre, produced by 5D Theatre to champion silenced women’s stories.
Since then, the play has been further devised and developed at the Solo School with Henry McGrath, bringing to life its epic vision of soul activism, mythical realism, and physical theatre.

AI ANGEL is set to be fully staged in 2026, following a focused research & development period in February 2026, building on its rich exploration of friendship, empowerment, and the human soul in a world dominated by AI.
TESTIMONIALS
"I feel the human journey coming into clarity, the urgency and the gut wrenching feeling of what's at stake. I feel the need to just rediscover who we are, what we have lost and the warning of what is coming. The meeting of the dark and cosmic within the comedy was glorious. This is important."
"I feel relief and trust. I can see the whole picture, you really want to save us - hilarious and terrifying - I love the words, I love the theatre, I love the poems, this is epic."
"You guide us through multiple dimensions bringing layers from the Underground. Terrifying at times. To bear witness to this play is exploring the light and the dark and it's utterly glorious. I’m with you every moment throughout the work. I want to see this play and so much more."
